Four Winds Canvas and Shade LLC was founded and is operated by Paul Allen. Paul resides with his wife and daughter in Hawi, Hawaii, who help run the industrial sewing business. Four winds was formed to provide custom industrial sewing to the island of Hawaii and neighboring islands. We enjoy projects that help people get out on the water in any discipline or pursuit. We also enjoy be able to provide a service to our community. Paul previously owned and operated a custom marine canvas and industrial sewing business in Santa Cruz, California called Bullseye Canvas from 2006-2023. Paul's background is in racing sailboats small and large, both short course racing and long Ocean racing. Paul's industrial sewing began in 1999 as a sailmaker in the San Francisco Bay area and Santa Cruz. In addition to industrial sewing, Paul is a boat captain, windsurfer, surfer and rock climber and believes that incorporating knowledge from other activities into his industrial sewing practice, greatly improves his products design and construction.
